Rui Coelho
CEO
With over 30 years of experience in the medical devices industry, Rui has dedicated the last 15 years to establishing MITEC Medical’s presence in the Caribbean. Alongside his colleague Daniel Coelho, he has built a strong and dedicated team focused on ensuring excellence in every process. Rui is deeply committed to fostering trusted relationships with customers, believing that these connections are essential for enhancing healthcare in the region. As he often states, “the ultimate goal is patient wellness.” In his moments of leisure, Rui enjoys running and piloting small airplanes.
Daniel Coelho
COO
Daniel brings over 25 years of experience in the medical devices industry, having worked in Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, the Caribbean, and the USA. Together with Rui Coelho, he co-founded MITEC Medical to deliver exceptional service across the Caribbean region. In his leisure time, Daniel enjoys playing golf, cooking, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Mayela Villalobos
CONTROLLER / REGULATIONS
Mayela is a Public Accountant with more than 25 years of experience in the area of Finance. She manages the administration and compliance of Mitec Medical. Known for her detail-oriented nature, Mayela has a unique ability to see things from a financial perspective that others often overlook. In her free time, she loves traveling and spending time with friends and family. Her extensive experience and keen eye for detail make her a valuable asset in her field.
Carmen Huerta
Sales & Strategic Marketing Manager Caribbean
Carmen is a seasoned journalist with over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, where she is passionate about service excellence, marketing, sales, coaching, and creating new business opportunities. She holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), which has further fueled her expertise in these areas. In her free time, Carmen enjoys traveling, spending time at the beach, reading about coaching and leadership, and exploring the outdoors through exercise.
Aurora Alves
HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
Aurora is a dedicated and disciplined professional with a strong passion for managing and coaching individuals. With experience in Human Resources, she is committed to enhancing the excellence of the MITEC team. She is a people person, known for her determination and advocacy for others. Aurora holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science and a PNL practitioner certification from Universidad de Carabobo in Venezuela.
Rosangel Dautant
Customer Service Leader
Rosangel has over 20 years of experience in the medical devices industry and is currently in charge of the customer service department. She is committed to providing excellence in every interaction with physicians and medical staff. With a degree in Electronic Biomedicine, she brings a strong educational background to her role. Outside of her professional life, Rosangel enjoys baking, cooking, crocheting, and spending time in nature.
Keneshia Grant
ADMINISTRATION & OPERATIONS MITEC MEDICAL OF JAMAICA
Keneshia is a dedicated professional with over eleven years of experience in accounting and nearly five years in administration. Her passion for continuous learning drives her to explore diverse subjects, enabling her to bring innovative ideas and efficiency to her work. As a change-maker, she is committed to enhancing processes within her roles. In her leisure time, Keneshia enjoys spending quality moments with her family, watching football, and discovering new places within her country.
Cleopatra Diez
ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT
Cleopatra Diez has joined Mitec Medical, bringing 30 years of experience in accounting, auditing, human resources, finance, and taxation. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Central Florida and an associate degree from Valencia College. Known for her strong sense of responsibility, Cleopatra is dedicated to the company’s goals and her own professional growth. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and her church community, prioritizes wellness, volunteers, teaches, exercises, reads, cooks, decorates, and shops.
Carlos Massa
Logistician & Supply Management Coordinator
Carlos is an Industrial Engineer with a strong background in Supply Chain Management. He is driven by a passion for continuous skill development and enjoys collaborating with diverse teams. Committed to excellence, Carlos consistently seeks effective and efficient methods to deliver MITEC solutions. Outside of his professional pursuits, he enjoys playing and coaching soccer, spending quality time with his family, and listening to music.
Mauricio Alejandro Valbuena Carrillo
Marketing and Business intelligence Coordinator
Mauricio Valbuena holds a Master’s in Sales and Marketing Management from Camilo José Cela University in Spain, and brings more than 11 years of international experience across Colombia, the Dominican Republic, and other markets. In his previous positions, he specialized in digital marketing, e-commerce, artificial intelligence, social media, and CRM tools to drive sales growth and strengthen brand presence.
At MITEC Medical, he leverages this expertise as Marketing and Business Intelligence Coordinator, supporting both the Marketing and Sales teams. Beyond his professional career, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as expanding his knowledge through continuous learning.
Juan Camilo Martínez
Logistics & Operation Assistant
Juan Camilo plays a key role in overseeing logistics and operational processes at MITEC Medical. He brings experience in inventory management, transportation coordination, and supply chain operations, ensuring that medical products and equipment are delivered accurately, efficiently, and on time. With a background in logistics, inventory management, and customer support across diverse industries, Juan Camilo is skilled at optimizing workflows, maintaining compliance, and supporting seamless day-to-day operations. At MITEC Medical, he is dedicated to enhancing supply chain efficiency and contributing to the company’s mission to excellence in serving healthcare providers.
Outside of work, he enjoys playing and watching soccer, as well as engaging in activities that help him strengthen relationships with friends and family.
Kenroy Thorpe
Administrative & Logistics Assistant
Kenroy Thorpe holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the University of the West Indies Mona and brings over five years of experience in Business Process Outsourcing, Business Administration, and Account Management. In his previous roles, he excelled at building strong client relationships, managing key accounts, and delivering tailored solutions to diverse business needs.
At MITEC Medical, Kenroy applies these skills as the Logistics and Administrative Assistant, supporting logistical operations and customer service functions by coordinating shipments, managing inventory records, and streamlining administrative workflows to ensure daily operations run efficiently.

Vaughn-Dean has over four years of experience as a Sales Representative in the medical device industry and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Basic Medical Sciences from The University of the West Indies. He is pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Administration and is passionate about exceptional customer service and supply chain management. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, traveling, and sports, while seeking opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Romyna boasts over 10 years of experience in the healthcare sales and marketing industry, where she has consistently demonstrated her results-driven approach to achieving sales targets and fostering client relationships. Outside of her professional pursuits, Romyna is dedicated to maintaining her fitness, working out at the gym daily to stay healthy and energized. She is also an avid tennis player. In her downtime, she loves to dive into a good book and explore new destinations, broadening her horizons through travel.
